Giving Thanks

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted. I’ve been waiting for news and it’s just been sparse. Steph completed her 3rd round of chemo last week. We have moved into a friend’s amazing home in Cape Elizabeth for the winter months, and I’ve started looking inside of me to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! It funny to me because it seems like when our family is in the most need is when we are most thankful. We are thankful for time together, beautiful views, and warm hugs this year. We have a quiet Thanksgiving dinner planned as well as a quiet Christmas, hoping to just be in the moment. Steph was scheduled for a repeat scan this week, but she asked if I cared if she postponed until after the holidays. She told me she just wants to enjoy the family without the stress of any news. She spoke to the oncologist about it and he is in agreement. No new symptoms so no reason to rush. Steph will do a 4th round of chemo, and then scans after the holidays. I wish I had more news, but sometimes no news isn’t a bad thing.

Thanks to all the Live the Voyage supporters! We sold over 150 shirts in the first day. Just amazing! I’ve ordered more and you can preorder on the site. www.livethevoyage.com/merchandise.
